Actor Vijay who paid an emotional tribute to Vijayakanth on Thursday night had a startling encounter after an unidentified individual seemingly threw a slipper at him.

Vijay was among the few celebrities who came early to pay their tributes to the late actor. He was surrounded by an unruly crowd and media personnel as he arrived at the venue. Amid the chaos, as the actor was retreating back to his vehicle, a slipper came across directly towards him.

While the police and security personnel made enough efforts to safeguard him, helping him navigate through the throng of enthusiastic fans, a few individuals managed to touch the actor and one also hurled a slipper at him. Luckily, it was intercepted by his security personnel who tossed it back into the crowd.
