Simon Katich, who recently called Mohammed Siraj dumb for his bowling against Australia, has now lambasted Virat Kohli and Ravindra Jadeja, accusing them of creating unnecessary controversies ahead of the fourth Test at the MCG.

Virat had a heated argument with a female journalist for filming his family, while Jadeja didn’t speak to the Australian media in the press conference.

Speaking on Channel 7, Katich called it mind games by the visiting players, who are doing it due to the enormity of the series. He slammed the two players and said that the media was just promoting the sport.

“A lot has happened in the last week that hasn’t gone down well. These are mind games by Virat Kohli and Ravindra Jadeja,” he said.

“The media is promoting the game and I don’t know what the Indian players are thinking. That is their problem,” he added.

Virat was miffed that his kids were getting filmed at the Melbourne airport. He has been requesting the media to refrain from clicking or making videos of his two kids and his appeals have been accepted in the past. But there is no rule in Australia where any celebrity can bar the journalists from doing their duties.

However, the two parties solved their differences there and then after clearing the misunderstanding. For Jadeja, he only spoke to Indian journalists in Hindi. When it was the turn of local reporters, the player left. India’s team manager told them that the press conference was organized for the Indian media, but Australian journalists refused to accept his stance.
