Australia Prime Minister Anthony Albanese is impressed with Virat Kohli’s achievements in his country. In a few days, he met the Indian batter twice and had a long conversation with him ahead of the warm-up game between India and the Prime Minister’s XI in Canberra.

He congratulated Kohli for his hundred in the Perth Test against Australia. During their second meeting, they were again spotted talking to each other. In his recent statement, Anthony Albanese revealed that his personal doctor is a huge fan of the legendary cricketer.

“My personal doctor is a huge fan of Virat Kohli – fan isn’t quite a word to explain how passionate he is for Virat Kohli. When I told him I am gonna meet Virat Kohli, he couldn’t believe – he asked me to get an autograph of Kohli,” he told Star Sports.

Kohli amassed an unbeaten 100 runs off 143 runs, laced with 8 fours and 2 sixes, as India won the game by 295 runs to take a lead of 1-0 in the five-Test Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25. Virat was out of form before landing in Australia and had accumulated just 93 runs in six innings against New Zealand.

In the first innings of the series opener, he managed just 5 runs. With the 36-year-old returning to his run-scoring spree, there is a chance for him to hit more tons in the remaining four matches.

The second game would be crucial for the visitors as the team was bowled out for 36 in the previous pink-ball Test at the Adelaide Oval.
