Karun Nair is still hopeful of returning to Team India’s Test team. He is one of the two Indian batters to score a triple hundred in a five-day format, along with Virender Sehwag. However, despite making a brilliant start to his career, Karun was not given enough chances by the management and was dropped after just a few failures.

Nair is playing for Mysuru Warriors in the Maharaja T20 Trophy and is ready to climb the stairs.

“I feel like I’m batting as well as I’ve ever done. I am in a good space, and I am just waiting for opportunities. The focus is on making my performance count and climb up the stairs again,” Nair was quoted as saying on ESPNcricinfo.

“It is exciting to wake up and dream of returning to the Test team. I would love to win trophies. We missed out on the Ranji Trophy last season. I will try to correct it in the upcoming season,” he added.

In six Tests, he accumulated 374 runs at an average of 62.33 and a strike rate of 73.91.
