She revealed that her intense love for the game is what keeps her in front of the camera, reflecting the ups and downs of being a committed SRH fan.

In recent seasons, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) have evolved into one of the most dominant franchises in the T20 league. Thanks to high-profile signings such as Travis Head, Pat Cummins, and Heinrich Klaasen, the team has significantly strengthened its squad, making them a formidable contender.

But SRH’s fame extends beyond the players, with the contributions of its owner being just as pivotal. Kavya Maran, the owner of the franchise, can frequently be spotted at matches, where she shows strong enthusiasm and cheers for her team. On a few occasions, she has even been caught giving inspiring speeches to the players in the SRH dressing room.

Though Kavya isn’t from the entertainment or sports industries, she often finds herself in the spotlight on television. In a candid interview, she revealed that her intense love for the game is what keeps her in front of the camera, reflecting the ups and downs of being a committed SRH fan.

“I’m showing you my genuine emotions because my role has pushed me into a position where I have to be in the spotlight. In Hyderabad, there’s nothing I can do but sit there, as that’s the only place available for me. However, even when I’m in Ahmedabad or Chennai, sitting far away in a box, the cameraman always manages to spot me. So, I get why it has turned into memes,” she told InsideSport.

“When it comes to Sunrisers, I show my emotions. I believe that when you invest your heart and soul into something, you inevitably become deeply connected to its successes and setbacks,” she added.

The franchise’s only IPL triumph came in 2016, and since then, they have reached the final twice, in 2018 and 2024. Their pursuit of a second title continues.
