Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma have been blessed with a baby boy, Akaay. Kohli and Anushka revealed that their second child was born on February 15.

“With abundant happiness and our hearts full of love, we are pleased to inform everyone that on 15th February, we welcomed our baby boy Akaay & Vamika’s little brother into this world! We seek your blessings and good wishes in this beautiful time in our lives. We request you to kindly respect our privacy at this time. Love & Gratitude. Virat & Anushka,” the couple wrote.

What does Akaay mean? Akaay means Kaya or body in Hindi. Akaay means a person who is more than his body. In Turkish, Akaay means shining moon.

Fans and celebrities from different spheres congratulated the couple. Former India player Sachin Tendulkar penned a special note for Virat and Anushka.

Virat and Anushka got married on December 11, 2017 in Italy. The duo was blessed with their first child, Vamika, on January 11, 2021.

Virat didn’t reveal anything about Anushka’s pregnancy for the second time. AB de Villiers broke the news that Virat and Anushka were expecting their second child and the star batter was spending time with his partner.

However, he backtracked from his statement, saying he was spreading fake news about the star couple. He even said sorry to Virat and Anushka for his mistake.

Kohli had opted out of the five-match Test series against England. He is expected to return to India from London to play for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023.
