Pakistan A captain Mohammad Haris said that talking or discussing India in the dressing room is banned. The two teams will compete in the ACC Men’s T20 Emerging Teams Asia Cup. India and Pakistan will take on each other on October 19. Haris mentioned that players are under pressure when they take on India and the decision was taken to keep them calm.
“This is the first time that we are not allowed to talk about India in the dressing room. It is banned.
“We have to keep other teams in mind as well. I have played for the senior Pakistan team and I know what happens when the match is against India. The pressure level can distract you,” he said.
Tilak Varma is the captain of India A, while Abhishek Sharma is the vice-captain in the men’s T20 Emerging Teams Asia Cup. Tilak has played four ODIs and 16 T20Is for the Men in Blue. Rahul Chahar, who plays for Punjab Kings in the IPL, is also a part of the squad.
Prabhsimran Singh, Ayush Badoni, Ramandeep Singh, R Sai Kishore, Hrithik Shokeen and several other young cricketers from different franchises will represent India.
India, Oman, Pakistan and UAE are placed in Group B while Group A consists of Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Hong Kong and Sri Lanka.
This is the first time that the tournament will be played in T20 format. The previous seasons were competed in the 50-over format.
