Sanju Samson recently attended a press conference organised by Kerala Cricket Association. A journalist asked the batter about the Ajit Agarkar-led selection committee ignoring him for Sri Lanka ODI series despite him scoring a century in his previous ODI against South Africa.

Sanju Samson refused to criticize the decision. He mentioned that the team’s performance is important for him.

“I will play whenever I will be picked . I am happy if our team is performing well. I take things positively,” he said.

Samson scored 108 in his previous ODI against South Africa. The Men in Blue won that contest by 78 runs and clinched the series 2-1. Still, Rishabh Pant and KL Rahul were preferred over Samson.

Samson also spoke about his experience of playing under new head coach Gautam Gambhir.

“It’s all good!” After a long season, Samson is currently on a break. He will return in action for India’s T20I series against Bangladesh.
