“You’ll get the answer soon”: Rohit Sharma makes a bold declaration about his participation in T20 World Cup

Team India captain Rohit Sharma has recently provided a substantial update on his involvement in T20 International cricket and whether he will participate in the upcoming T20 World Cup. During a press conference before the first Test against South Africa, a journalist attempted to inquire about Rohit’s anticipation of the T20 World Cup.

Maintaining a humorous tone, Rohit responded wittily. “When the guys get a chance, they need to deliver. I understand what you’re getting at, and you’ll get the answer soon,” he said.

The exchange added an element of intrigue as Rohit chose to keep his response cryptic when questioned about his role in the T20 World Cup.

Shifting the focus to the upcoming Test series against South Africa, Rohit expressed the significance of winning a Test series in the country. India has yet to secure a Test series victory in South Africa, making it a substantial achievement if accomplished.

“I’m unsure if it can ease the hurt from the World Cup loss. If we manage to succeed, that would be a positive outcome. After putting in so much hard work, we deserve this, at the very least,” he said.

Providing insights into India’s playing XI for the first Test, Rohit mentioned that nearly 75 percent of the team has been finalized. He hinted at a choice between Prasidh Krishna and Mukesh Kumar for the third seamer position and almost confirmed KL Rahul as the wicketkeeper for the first Test.
