India will face England in the second semi final of the ICC T20 World Cup 2024. The contest will be played on June 27 at Providence Stadium, Guyana. The Men in Blue won three consecutive games while the contest against Canada was called off due to rain in the group stage. Rohit Sharma’s team thumped Afghanistan, Bangladesh and Australia in the Super 8.

On the other hand, England were challenged by the rivals. They lost to Australia before beating Oman and Namibia. Their clash with Scotland was abandoned and the defending champions needed a favour from the Aussies to book their place in the Super 8 stage. Mitchell Marsh’s unit went past Scotland to help the arch-rivals.

In the second round, England lost to South Africa before beating the West Indies and the United States of America to qualify for the semis.

However, there is a prediction of heavy rain in the IND vs ENG semi-final. According to weather.com, 60% rain chances will surely impact the contest.

The rain prediction is 33% at 10:30 am local time and goes up to 59% at 1 pm. The rain delays are likely to frustrate the players and the fans.

The International Cricket Stadium has allotted 250 minutes of additional time for the semi-finals. If the game gets washed out, India will qualify for the final as they topped Group 1 in the Super 8 stage, while England finished second in Group 2.
