2024 is just around the corner and many Britons will be looking to ring in the New Year in style.

While it might be a dream to celebrate the turn of the year in a city as stylish as Paris and Rome, a British city is actually the best place to party according to a new study.

Britons might be surprised to learn London didn’t top hotlist, despite its hotly awaited fireworks display.

The expert travel team at loveholidays looked at Instagram posts to find the most popular rooftop to ring in the New Year.

So where’s the hottest place to celebrate the New Year?

According to the team’s study, Manchester is the coolest place to celebrate New Year with bar 20 Stories taking the top spot with over 20,000 New Year Instagram posts.

An iconic bar in the heart of Spinningfields, 20 Stories has a 360-degree view of the city’s skyline and a viewing platform for the fireworks.

The popular spot still has a few tickets left at the time of writing with standing only drinks tickets selling for £75.

If that’s a little too expensive for New Year’s Eve, tourists can watch the city’s free fireworks display at Castlefield Bowl.

Manchester was the only British city to make the New Year’s Eve top three hotlist with Warsaw and Aarhus coming in second and third place.

The Big Smoke did earn itself a place on the list, landing just outside the top five in sixth position.
