Mohammad Amir has been taking wickets since returning to international cricket just ahead of the ICC T20 World Cup 2024. He took back his retirement after the new PCB chairman convinced him of fair treatment from the team management.

In the latest match against Canada, Amir dismissed two batters as Pakistan won their first game of the tournament. The 7-wicket victory kept the Men in Green alive in the tournament, but a lot will depend on the results of other teams.

Babar Azam-led unit will face Ireland in their last league match. Former India player Navjot Singh Sidhu urged Amir to name a batter whom he has enjoyed bowling to in his career so far. The left-arm pacer went on to reveal the two most memorable moments of his career.

“The best moment came when I dismissed Sachin Tendulkar in the IND vs PAK match in the 2009 Champions Trophy. He was caught by kamran Akmal. Bhajji paji was also a part of that match. The another moment came when I bowled to Brian Lara in one of our practice matches at Lord’s,” he said on Star Sports.

For the record, Sachin managed 8 runs in that game, and Pakistan won the contest by 54 runs.

Pakistan posted 302/9, with Shoaib Malik scoring a hundred. The Men in Blue were bowled out for 248 runs in 44.5 overs.
