Australia opener David Warner, who scored a fifty in Australia’s opening game of the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 against Oman, almost entered the opposite team’s dressing room after his dismissal.

He was seen climbing up the stairs before someone informed him about his mistake, and the southpaw had to return, leaving the commentators, including Matthew Hayden, in splits.

Australia were in trouble early on in their innings, having lost three wickets with just 50 runs on the board in 8.3 overs. It took a special effort from Warner and Marcus Stoinis to bail out the former world champions. The two added 102 runs for the fourth wicket to take the total to 164/5 in 20 overs.

David accumulated 56 runs off 51 deliveries, including 5 fours and 1 six. On the other hand, Stoinis was unbeaten on 67 runs off 36 balls, paced with 6 sixes and 2 fours.

Stoinis took three wickets to lead Australia to a 39-run victory as Oman managed 125/9 in 20 overs.
